199 years ago this week saw the bloodiest battle of the War of 1812. On July 25, 1814 British, Canadian and Native Warriors face the strongest American forces to date.
It was only a few weeks earlier that the British were defeated at the Battle of Chippawa. It was obvious that the American troops were showing more discipline and being better trained to battle the British forces.
On July 25, 1814 The two forces met here, now Known as Drummond Hill Cemetery.
