Sir Isaac Brock to be burried at Fort George

Sir Isaac Brock’s casket awaits the arrival of the horse draw cart that will take it first to St. Marks Church for a brief ceremony the on to Fort George for Burial.

Hundreds were in attendance to witness Sir Isaac Brock and John Macdonell’s Funeral prcession from the Niagara on the Lake Courthouse to Fort George.

It was reported that over 5,000 people attended Brock’s funeral in 1812 and that the American Flag at Fort Niagara was lowered to half mast in honour and respect for Brock.
