SOUTHPORT – An obsessed collector has joined the museum’s dinner party on Friday, October 19, in commemoration of the War of 1812. When a beloved staff member is killed over an artifact, it is up to the guests to help the museum discover the culprit so the spirits of Brunswick’s past may rest in peace.

“Do not be afraid… it’s just history repeating itself,” Museum Director Mary Strickland advises for the approaching event and murder mysteries. The North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport will present other seasonal programs this fall.

The War of 1812 Murder Mystery Dinner is held in conjunction with the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration. $25 members. $30 non-members. Seats are limited. Call the Museum at (910) 457-0003 to register.
