Fort Erie: A new welcome centre, museum and live theatre add to the visitor experience

August 10th 11th 12th once again turns Fort Erie into re-enactment central. To date 500 re-enactors have confirmed their involvement in the annual “Siege Weekend”. With the 1812 festivities well under way this years siege weekend could be one of the best ever.

A full schedule of events are planned and get under way on Friday with re-enactors setting up their camps.

The main event takes place Saturday evening when hundreds of British, American soldiers and Natives Warriors battle to take control of the fort.

The evening concludes with torch tours of the fort.
