Visit Baltimore continues the War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebration at this year’s Artscape in 2012. In commemoration, the festival opens each morning with the national anthem; War of 1812 inspired strolling performances and commemorative performances taking place throughout the weekend of Artscape. Please reference here for more information on Star-Spangled 200. A tentative schedule below:

Friday, July 20, 2012
11 a.m. ~ National Anthem
In commemoration of the War of 1812 Bicentennial, the festival opens each morning with the national anthem performed on all three stages.
4 p.m. ~ The Dan Meyer Choir, The War of 1812: A Choral Commemoration
Honoring the 200th anniversary of the colonial war, songs in four-part harmony give a light-hearted musical history lesson, focusing on famous and little-known people and events from the War of 1812. This performance takes place at Corpus Christi Church.

11 a.m. ~ The Star-Spangled Banner and All Its Cousins
To commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, Visit Baltimore features The Star-Spangled Banner and All Its Cousins, presented by New Old Theater. This performance is a delightful and spirited concert of actual music from the War of 1812. The performance will take place at the Brown Center, Falvey Hall.
