Sailors’ delight …

After nearly a week of patriotic celebration in Boston Harbor, all 10 of the historic Tall Ships on display, including the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, international Tall Ships and privately owned ships, set sail last night for their next destinations.

In the spirit of the bicentennial of the Star Spangled Banner and the War of 1812, OpSail 2012 docked the ships in the Charlestown Navy Yard and the South Boston Waterfront for the public to explore.

“It’s been very, very festive, and there was fun had by all,” said Chris O’Brien, executive director of OpSail.
