Twenty U.S. and coalition ships will be in Boston for Navy Week, a celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, from June 28-July 6.
Public visitation on participating ships in this year’s Boston Navy Week will begin Thursday, June 28 and continue through Thursday, July 5.
The following is a complete schedule of all ship locations and visitation hours (all information provided by the US Navy):
Location: North Jetty Massport
- Ship: USS Wasp (LHD 1)
- Public visitation hours: June 30 – July 3; and July 5 from 12 p.m. to 6 p. m.
- NOTE: There is no public visitation on July 4 on USS Wasp
Location: Black Falcon Terminal
- Ships: USS Gravely (DD 107), HMCS Preserver (AOR 510),
- HMCS Iroquois (DDH 280), RFA Argus (A 135), and FGS Hessen (F 221).
- Public visitation hours: June 30 to July 5 from 12 p. m. to 6 p.m.
- NOTE: RFA Argus will close visitation at 2 p.m. on June 30.
- HMCS Iroquois will close visitation at 2 p. m. on July 1.
- HMCS Preserver, HMCS Iroquois and RFA Argus will not be open for visitation on July 5.
Location: City of Boston Pier 4
- Ships: HNOMS Thor Heyerdahl (F 314), HDMS Esbern Snare (L17),
- NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson (S 222), and USCGC Juniper (WLB 201).
- Public visitation hours: June 30 to July 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- NOTE: USCGC Juniper will open for visitation at Noon on June 30.
- HNOMS Thor Heyerdahl and HDMS Esbern Snare will close visitation at 2 p.m. on July 2
Location: Charlestown Navy Yard
- Ships: USS Constitution, USCGC Eagle (WIX 327), HMCS Goose Bay (MM 707), and HMCS Moncton (MM 708)
- Public visitation hours: June 28 to July 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- NOTE: USS Constitution will be only ships open for visitation June 28 and June 29.
- USCGC Eagle will not open for visitation until June 30 at 1 p.m.
- USCGC Eagle will close visitation at 5 p.m. on July 1.
- HMCS Goose Bay and HMCS Moncton will open July 1 and July 2 only.
- USCGC Eagle will close visitation at 5 p.m. on July 3.
- USS Constitution will not be open for visitation on July 4.
- USCGC Eagle will not be open for visitation on July 4 or July 5.
Location: U.S. Coast Guard Base
- Ships: HMCS Kingston (MM 700), HMCS Summerside (MM 711), and USCGC Marcus Hanna (WLM 554)
- Public visitation hours: June 30 and July 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Fish Pier Massport
- Ships: Cisne Branco (Brazil), BAE Guayas (Ecuador), ARC Gloria (Columbia) and Dewaruci (Indonesia)
- Public visitation hours: June 30 and July 1, 4 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.; July 2, 3 and 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
